燃气蒸汽热风炉是利用燃料燃烧释放高品质的蒸汽的设备，实质上就是将一次能源(燃气体)转化为二次能源(电力)的能量转换过程，在火力发电厂中，燃气蒸汽热风炉产生的高温高压水蒸气，推动汽轮机、带动发电机发出电能，所以热风炉是火力发电厂三大主要设备之一。
